Scott Fraser – Sports Physiotherapist
Queensland Sports Medicine Centre

Scott graduated from the University of Queensland in 2006, completing his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2011. Scott has worked in Rugby League with Souths Logan, Queensland Cup Rugby League side and numerous representative squads. In 2009 and 2010 Scott was head Physiotherapist and Medical Coordinator for Aspley Hornets AFL team in the NEAFL competition and is currently the Physiotherapist for the Brisbane Roar W-league team, QAS Womens football program and is involved the Brisbane Lions AFL team.

Rachel Jones – Sport and Exercise Psychologist
& Director, Lift High Performance Consultants

Rachel is an endorsed Sport and Exercise Psychologist and Director of Lift High Performance Consultants. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and Queensland Chair of the College of Sport and Exercise Psychologists. She is passionate about helping people of all ages and performance levels to reach their performance potential in sport, exercise, medicine, performing arts, academia, business and everyday life.

Rachel has a background in sport and exercise science, and has held roles in strength and conditioning, athlete welfare, tactical training and sports rehabilitation assessment and management, giving her an additional perspective to bring to her sport psychology work and a special interest in injury rehabilitation and pain management. Rachel has also completed Clinical Cognitive Neuropractitioner training and is a Certified PR-6 Brain-Based Resilience Coach.

Rachel has experience working with elite athletes from Australian teams and organisations including Super Rugby, NRL, Wallabies, Queensland Jockeys’ Association, Racing Queensland, Goalball Queensland, Swimming Australia, World Surf League, Athletics Australia, Professional Golfers’ Association of Australia, Australian Institute of Sport, Queensland Academy of Sport and more. She is currently a part of the National Sport Psychology Provider Network for Table Tennis Australia and the AFL Players’ Association, and is head sport psychologist for Australian Paracanoe and Women’s Gymnastics.

Rachel specialises in working with multidisciplinary teams to get the best performance and health and wellbeing outcomes for performers. She also has experience managing critical incidents in sport and has a special interest in mental toughness, coach development, athlete and performer welfare, mental health, injury rehabilitation, athlete career transitions, and helping athletes to reach the elite level in their sport. Rachel is a regular contributor to a number of sporting magazines and provides expert commentary on sport psychology topics on radio and online mediums.

Adam Garred
Exercise Physiologist & Clinical Manager
Aspire Fitness and Rehabilitation

All our pre-adventure training programs are written and managed by Exercise Physiologist, Adam Garred from Aspire Fitness and Rehabilitation. Adam specialises in sport specific training and musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation. Prior to working at Aspire Adam has been Head of Athletic Performance at UQ Rugby Club and Academy since 2007, and has also worked as a performance coach with the QLDReds, QLD Reds academy and Melbourne Rebels. While still keeping involvement with UQ Rugby’s Premier Grade Side, Adam is also Head of Strength and Conditioning with Redlands AFC and currently works with two elite swimmers. Adam’s expertise also stretches to work with national and state level athletes in netball, tennis, rowing and athletics.

KATE FEELY
SPORTS DIETICIAN

Kate has been involved in sport at a state and national level for athletics and cross country during her school days and continued to coach cross country during her university studies. Having seen a dietician herself to provide individualised nutritional advice for training and race days really highlighted to Kate the importance of nutrition for sport performance. Her love of running continues since completing the 2015 Gold Coast Marathon and aims to add more marathons to her list. Kate has a keen interest in nutrition for endurance sports, and knows first hand how important the right nutrition plan is. Kate has a range of interests in the dietetic field including sports nutrition and training and race day strategies, weight loss / management, eating disorders, allergies and intolerances and gastrointestinal issues. Kate is a passionate dietician who aims to guide and support her patients to reach their health and nutritional goals
